Welcome
I’m Dr. Emily Haseltine
I’m a licensed psychologist with a deep belief in the power of connection, curiosity, and compassion to create meaningful change.
Taking the first step toward finding a therapist and beginning psychotherapy can feel daunting. It is my goal to help my clients navigate through the process so that they can ultimately feel comfortable, safe, and experience relief from their symptoms and lead more fulfilling, enriched lives.
People heal and transform in an atmosphere of safety, humor, and love.
My Approach to Healing
My approach is integrative and based on my unique training background. My psychoanalytic roots inform my understanding of the role of the unconscious and the importance of helping clients make connections between past experiences and their current struggles and relationship dynamics.
My trauma, mindfulness, and energy medicine expertise attune me to the significance of somatic and body based experiences as well as the important connection between our thoughts, feelings, physiology and wellbeing.
I enjoy tailoring sessions to the specific needs of each client or couple and I love joining clients on their journey as they gain a deeper understanding of themselves and feel more aligned, empowered, and joyful as a result.

My Approach to Symptoms
People often come to psychotherapy because they’re suffering from symptoms like anxiety, depressed mood, disordered eating, and compulsions. I believe psychological and often physical symptoms are our body’s way of alerting us that we’re experiencing inner conflict and are out of alignment with what is in our best interest.
Symptoms can cause a lot of pain so my first job is offering clients concrete tools to help them feel more empowered in managing these symptoms so they decrease. However, after we get them under greater control, I love teaching clients to make connections between their symptoms and the deeper meanings these symptoms often hold within them.
Symptoms make sense. Often not at first, but over time, once we take a curious approach to understanding what they’re trying to tell us, it’s gratifying for clients to understand the interplay between their symptoms and what those symptoms are asking them to heal in themselves.
Ultimately, through this process, clients gain insight, and feel a greater sense of empowerment in their lives.
What Will Sessions Be Like?
My style is warm & collaborative
I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings. I work together with with clients to address their specific goals and given this, I’m flexible when it comes to structuring sessions based on what feels most important to address.

At times in sessions we’ll be working on outlining significant family patterns, or practicing breath work and guided imagery.

During others we’ll be practicing nervous system regulation and working on understanding self narratives.

It’s a good bet that we’re laughing, because therapy is hard sometimes so we may as well enjoy the process together!
Ultimately, all sessions are about working collaboratively to help clients learn how to quiet their minds and listen more deeply to their intuition, feelings, and inner wisdom so that they can live happier and more aligned lives.
