Individual Therapy

First things first...

In individual sessions, I first focus on helping clients feel safe and comfortable with me, laying a groundwork for our work to come. The next step typically involves us working to understand any symptoms you’re having and teaching you coping strategies to bring you some relief.  

Then we get to work

Once symptoms are better under control, we’ll work together to uncover the roots of what you’re facing, and make connections between these roots and your current experience. We’ll also take note of important patterns and narratives in your life and bring them to the surface so that you’re fully conscious of them and can make intentional changes which support your well-being.  

Little by little

Over time, we’ll collaborate together to help you build greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence so that you can feel an increased sense of agency in your life and a deeper connection to your authentic self. 

The big picture

Ultimately, I see the goal of individual therapy as helping you experience greater freedom in your life. Freedom from symptoms, old wounds, and self-narratives which hold you back so that you can live out a life that feels deeply right to you.
